What exactly do you do at our company? 

Great question! Though I don’t personally serve as an advisor, I am active behind the scenes with researching and writing about retirement income, serving on the Investment Committee, and providing support for McLean’s sister firms, Retirement Researcher and Retirement Income Style Awareness.

What is your favorite part about working with McLean? 

The people. Everyone at McLean is wonderful to work with.

What are three words you’d use to describe McLean? 

Innovative, cooperative, & comprehensive

What’s a fun fact about you that many people may not know? 

I co-host a fairly popular podcast with Alex Murguia called Retire with Style

What do you like to do when you aren’t working? 

I have three school-age children who keep me quite busy!

Are you a coffee or tea person?

Definitely coffee. Dark roast without any milk or sugar.

How many different states have you lived in?

5 states: Michigan, Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas.  And Washington, DC, for a bonus.

What’s your favorite book or movie?

For books, it’s The Lost Continent by Bill Bryson.

Early bird or night owl?

I don’t fully identify as either, but probably more of a night owl overall.  I don’t like to get up too early.

What food have you tried that was the furthest out of your comfort zone?

I lived in Japan for 10 years, and tarako is the food I can eat that looks the least visually appetizing to me.
