Employee Spotlight
What exactly do you do at our company?
I oversee McLean’s overall business strategy, ensuring the entire team stays aligned and focused. I work with each practice area to keep operations running smoothly, enhance the client experience, and drive firm growth. Additionally, I help manage our employer-sponsored retirement plan practice, where we assist employers with their 401(k) investments and guide employees in planning for retirement.
What is your favorite part about working with McLean?
I’ve always loved the firm’s unique culture and entrepreneurial spirit. Instead of sticking to “the way things have always been done,” McLean continually improves its client services through analysis and innovation. The team is warm and welcoming, creating a family-like environment we’re proud to maintain. Being surrounded by such diverse and talented colleagues is inspiring and motivates us all to bring our best every day.

What's a fun fact about you that many people may not know?
I taught myself to knit using YouTube videos and Knitting for Dummies. I watched my grandmother create amazing things with two sticks and a ball of yarn and was determined to learn how to do the same.
What do you like to do when you aren't working?
I like knitting, reading, swimming, kayaking (when I can find a lake), or doing custom paint-by-numbers. I also enjoy arts and crafts with my kids.
Are you a coffee or tea person?
Both. It depends on the time of day. I love a hot beverage. And caffeine.
How many different states have you lived in?
Two. I lived in Ithaca, NY, while I attended college and graduate school. Aside from that, I have lived in MD for the rest of my life.
What's your favorite book or movie?
My favorite movie has always been and always will be, The Princess Bride. It stands the test of time.
Early bird or night owl?
I used to stay up late, but I have become an early bird in my older age.
What food have you tried that was the furthest out of your comfort zone?
Raw fish. I just can't handle the texture. It did not go well.
