I serve as the Director of Marketing Operations at McLean Asset Management, overseeing the marketing strategy and execution across our family of brands—including McLean, Retirement Researcher, RISA, and the Retire With Style podcast. My responsibilities include managing our team and our ever-growing list of projects, updating our websites, coordinating digital communications, and ensuring a seamless client experience with our digital spaces. Additionally, I contribute my voice to the Retire With Style podcast!
What is your favorite part about working with McLean?
My favorite part about working with McLean is the growth and development our management empowers us with. I started at McLean as our front desk receptionist just over 7 years ago! And since then, the level of training and progression I’ve been able to experience with this company is something I couldn’t have ever dreamed of when I got hired here.
What are 3 words you’d use to describe McLean?
Collaborative, Innovative, and Trusting
What’s a fun fact about you that many people may not know?
While many colleagues are aware of my martial arts background, a notable update is that I've recently earned my Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). My journey began over a decade ago with Muay Thai and Kickboxing, and I've since dedicated myself to BJJ. Beyond the mats, I'm a passionate musical theater enthusiast, having been involved in Band, Choir, and Theater throughout my youth. Not much has changed about my love for the arts that continues to this day. If you’re looking for a Broadway recommendation, I’m your girl!
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
If I am not on the mats training in BJJ, I am usually at home binge-watching a new series!
My daughter is now 14, going into high school, and we have started her journey into student athlete life! And I also have a tribe of nieces and nephews to spoil rotten as well. So, I like to travel to NC to spend as much time with all of them when I can get away for a visit.
Are you a coffee or tea person?
Coffee! While I do love tea as well, as a former Starbucks barista, coffee will always be my main priority every day!
How many different states have you lived in?
I was born and raised in North Carolina. Since then, I have only ever lived in Maryland!
What’s your favorite book or movie?
My favorite book I’ve ever read is Authentic Happiness by Martin E. P. Seligman, Ph.D. My favorite movie as a kid was always Pocahontas!
Early bird or night owl?
Night Owl, for sure!
What food have you tried that was the furthest out of your comfort zone?
Sashimi – although I do love cooked sushi rolls!
