In compiling their list, the FT invited all firms with over $300 million in assets under management (AUM) to apply for consideration by filling out a lengthy application. Of the more than 500 firms that applied, the FT selected the top 300 based on six criteria. McLean is one of twelve firms selected from Virginia.
